Now is your chance to be part of the 2015 LEPC/TERC Emergency Planning and Response Conference, August 6-8, 2015, at the beautiful Lied Lodge and Conference Center in Nebraska City, Nebraska. We are currently seeking presentations that reflect timely issues facing local emergency planning committees, emergency first responders, emergency planners, industry, and tribal governments in planning, preparing for, and responding to chemical emergencies. If you’ve always wanted to be a presenter, here’s your chance!
Individuals may submit topics to be considered as in-depth training or track workshops. Individuals may apply to present the same topic at both an in-depth training and a track workshop, provided each presentation meets the requirements of the particular session.
: These classes are offered as half-day (four hour) or all-day (eight hour) sessions on Thursday, August 6, 2015. Typically, this format offers the ability to be more hands-on and have more involvement from participants.
Tracks will occur on Friday and Saturday, August 7 and 8. Track workshops are typically 50 minutes in length. The general track themes are listed below, but are subject to change based on responses to this call for presentations.
: All things HAZMAT, from planning to exercising to challenges faced by volunteer responders
: Great for newbies to their Local Emergency Planning Committee and for LEPCs looking to take the next step and become more active
Incident Command Case Studies
: Do you have a story to share about an incident you responded to? We’re looking for examples of things that went as planned as well as lessons learned for future reference.
: Are you an industry partner working to be more involved with planning and response? Or a planner/responder looking to better working relationships with the regulated community? This track’s for you.
: Rail, pipeline, over-the-road—how does it get there, what challenges are faced in planning and responding to transportation-related incidents?
Evaluation and Selection
The Conference Programming Committee will review all submissions and select sessions based on relevance, timeliness of the content, and qualifications of the presenter.

The Region 7 LEPC/TERC Emergency Planning and Response Conference appreciates the value that each presenter brings to the conference attendees. We are glad to offer complimentary conference registration, including access to all sessions and the exhibit hall.

Submission of a proposal does not guarantee your selection as a presenter in the Region 7 LEPC/TERC Emergency Planning and Response Conference.
If you have restrictions on which day(s) you are able to present, please clearly note that and include it with the proposal.
Unless otherwise agreed to in writing after selection, all presenters are individually responsible for his/her travel, transportation, lodging, and meal costs.
Individuals must complete the submission process in its entirety. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
If selected, all presenters will be required to submit a fully-executed speaker agreement.
You may fill in this online form, or submit your own application. You should include your name, organization/affiliation, email, telephone, preferred contact, and type of presentation you would like to be considered for.
Include a current resume or speaker resume and a bio so the committee can evaluate your experience and qualifications.
Include a description of the presentation you wish to give.
Include 3 or 4 learning objectives (what you want the listener to come away with).
This should be at least half a page, typed, and no more than two pages, typed.
If there is anything else you would like the selection committee to know, please include it.
